With Thanksgiving just around the corner that means one thing, it’s cranberry season! But cranberries aren’t just beneficial for our insides; our skin can soak in all of these berries' magical benefits too. So today we are going to share a secret recipe with you to help you incorporate this super food into your skincare routine.
Cranberries are filled with antioxidants and B vitamins and packed with Vitamin C. This means they provide a powerful shield against harmful environmental factors like pollution and smoke. The high content of Vitamin C helps keep our skin firm by boosting collagen and elastin production and helping slow the aging process. Cranberries also are perfect for brightening dull, lifeless skin.
¼ cup fresh cranberries (No cranberry sauce, please!)
1 teaspoon plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
(optional) ¼ teaspoon Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
Place your cranberries in a food processor or coffee grinder and blend until they are a pasty texture. In a bowl, combine the blended cranberries, yogurt, honey, and clay (if using). You’ll want the mask to be thick but you can use a bit of water to thin it out a if it’s too thick to spread.
Brush over face, neck and decollete. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Follow with your eye cream, serum and moisturizer of choice.
